On March 2, 2023, WELS Foundation sponsored the Mission Advancement sectionals at the WELS Association of Lutheran High Schools conference at the Sheraton, Brookfield, Wis. We welcomed Attorney Bradley Kalscheur, partner at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, as our keynote speaker.

Morning session:

• Bible study on Christian stewardship: Rev. Donn Dobberstein presented on "A Time for Everything," a discussion of priorities and biblical stewardship. (9:30-10:30 a.m.)
• Overview of planned giving opportunities: Attorney Bradley Kalscheur led a discussion on various planned giving opportunities, including information about the new Secure Act 2.0. (10:30-11:45 a.m.)

Afternoon session:

• Case study reviews: Participants broke into small groups to discuss case studies and then presented their findings to the larger group. Attorney Kalscheur answered participants' questions. (1:00-2:00 p.m.)
• Mission advancement roundtable: This roundtable allowed participants to discuss issues and opportunities they are facing in their ministry. (2:15-4:00 p.m.)
